Use a towel to wipe your ears after washing them. Avoid immersing your ears in the bath water to prevent irritated ear canals. A simple wash is sufficient to maintain the cleanliness of your ears unless there has been a considerable buildup of earwax, in which case your healthcare professional may need to do a professional cleaning.  

Get a checkup: Your hearing requires routine examination by a doctor, just like all other aspects of your health. Consult your health care physician about getting your hearing checked out. Unless there has been a major event, hearing loss usually proceeds gradually. Therefore, early detection can be crucial for successful therapy.
